Purpose
To demonstrate the independence of horizontal motion
(velocity) and vertical motion (acceleration)
Description
Water 'escaping' from a hole in the side of a jug is observed
to follow a parabolic path.
1. Make sure there is plenty of water in the jug, replace cap
on the jug
2. Place jug at the edge of countertop with a bucket on the
floor below (available for catching escaping water)
3. Remove tape from hole
4. Remove jug cap to start the flow of water
5. Recap jug and retape hole when finished
