Offered by the Physics Department of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas This 3 semester-hour undergraduate course is delivered entirely on the Web. The instructor will communicate with students through e-mail and discussion messages. Course Description: This is an introductory course to learn about the tools of astronomy and to study our solar system and planetary home. A systematic study and comparison of the origin and evolution of the components of our local "neighborhood" - reaching from the Earth to the "outer limits" of the solar system. The course is divided into two major portions: PART ONE - PHYS 1050.007 & PHYS 1050.008
