Research:   Dr. Weathers' areas of expertise are ion-solid interactions including sputtering, energy loss, secondary electron emission; ion optics; X-ray production in atomic collisions; Accelerator based materials characterization techniques, including Accelerator Mass Spectrometry, Backscattering Spectrometry, Nuclear Reaction Analysis, Particle Induced X-ray Emission; and Resonance Ionization Spectroscopy.
