Education:

Ph.D., New Mexico State, 1964.
Theoretical physics: statistical mechanics; solid state physics.

Research:   Dr. Deering's research uses methods from nonlinear dynamical systems theory to describe the electronic and optical properties of artificially structured materials. He also investigates the scattering from fractal objects. (Member CNS)
