The Lecture Demonstration Facility for the Department of Physics at the University of North Texas is now an active, diverse facility capable of responding to most of the needs of the department as well as outreach programs
of the department. The purpose of this facility is to develop, prepare, set up and repair physics demonstrations and provide audio/visual materials and equipment for the Department of Physics at the University of North Texas.The demonstration facility maintains the equipment for over 170 complete demonstrations and the equipment to assemble countless more. There are over 150 demonstrations available on videodisc and videotape for use in the classroom or for reference. In addition to the ever-growing collection of videodiscs and videotapes, the demonstration facility has available 129 film loops and 122 16mm films.

listing of the demonstrations will be provided for all interested faculty.A reasonable collection of current catalogs and demonstration manuals are available in the demonstration room. Also available is a
complete listing of the AV materials.Please allow 24 hours for special requests
Demonstrations
The current week's
demonstration equipment for the different introductory Physics courses will be
available on carts just inside the demo room. The carts contents will be changed weekly
based on the provided class syllabi. We ask that you please return your course's cart to
the demo room at the end of your class.
If at any time you wish to suggest a new demonstration, have a demonstration modified for your class, and/or discuss the usage of a particular demo, please feel free to stop by the demo room during the hours given above.
AV Equipment & Materials
The AV materials are available through the demo room, but will be
stored in the PIC along with the various AV equipment.
Public Lectures
Available upon request are special performances by UNT's own Star Trek Team. This home town favorite conducts 4-5 physics demonstration shows every year to local and visiting schools.
