Purpose

Description
Show the gyrations of a spinning bicycle wheel.
1. Start the wheel spinning.
2. Hold the wheel out vertically with one hand by one of its handles. Hold the strap in the other hand.
3. Let go of the spinning wheel. Students observe the wheel remaining in its vertical position and subsequently revolve about a vertical axis that lies along the strap.
